SPORT NSW: SAFE365 PARTNERSHIP RELEASE

8 April 2021

Safe365 is excited to announce new partnership with Sport New South Wales!

Safe365 is excited to announce its partnership with Sport NSW as their digital health and safety partner.  Sport NSW is an independent not-for-profit organisation, representing NSW sporting organisations as the ‘Voice of Sport’ to raise and respond to issues that impact on all levels of sport which includes health and safety.

Safe365’s National Commercial Manager - Australia, Shane Knight, believes the partnership will support Sporting Organisations and Local Councils by simplifying work health and safety and help create safer working environments, whilst reducing the regulatory exposure for Executives and their Boards.  “Sport and recreation is inherently risky and at an organisational level with competing priorities, WHS can be overlooked, often exposing the organisation and its people. Safe365 can support organisations by allowing them to undertake a simple assessment that highlights their deficiencies, prioritises the actions required and provides the practical tools that lead to improvement over time” says Knight.

The CEO of Sport NSW, Ross Bidencope, understands the complexity and challenges faced by sport from a Work Health and Safety compliance perspective, and accordingly, Sport NSW is proud to announce Safe365 as its Digital Health and Safety Partner. Mr Bidencope believes Safe365 can assist sports to meet their WHS due diligence requirements in an easily digestible way. “Having spoken to a number of Sporting Organisations who currently use Safe365 in NSW, it was evident that the system was not only cost-effective but simple for both administrators and volunteers. It allows an organisation to understand where they are relative to legislation and the standards, and how they compare against the rest of the sector through the benchmark data available. It also has a simple to use mobile app, allowing workers or volunteers at an organisation to easily upload incidents, sign in or out to event sites using QR code technology or complete checklists in the field with real-time visibility for the organsiation.”
